So here's my story. I'm currently with t mobile and am planning to switch to ATT. I stayed awake all night, till the precious moments when the time hit 12 00 am PST, and attempted to order at the Apple website, I got the " an iPhone is reserved for you" notice. So I waited with bated breath till 0230 i got an email from apple stating "your order can be processed" with a link to start completing the order. I attempted to order 2 iphone 5's ( I wanted a family plan with 3 lines ) however, it would only let me process one iphone 5. So i figured I would get what i could. When i got my confirmation it stated ship time in 2 weeks.
I then went to ATT's website and it said delievery 9/21/12. so i ordered the complete package from them: the 2 iphone 5s and one crappy phone.
Everything went through and i got the confirmation email from att.
This morning i woke up and checked on the status, and it stated all the order was canceled!. CANCELED??? I called ATT up and asked them why, they stated they needed to see a PHOTO ID before it can be processed. I was told to go to the ATT store, they would be able to bring up the order and restart the process after seeing the photo ID.
I asked if i went in to the store, would it still arrive on the 21st? I was told no, because the shipments will be sent out TODAY. so orders completed before 9AM with their credit cards charged will be sent out already.
So now I have a completely Canceled att preorder.
MY apple account still states Preorder 1 iphone 5 to arrive 9/21/12. But my credit card hasn't be charged.... so im wondering if this will even be sent out at all?
So i think i might have to go camp out at the store...
