My scenario - used snowbreeze to create my own custom .ipsw where i choose the option to enable multi-task gestures/activate iphone and used those setting to create my own .ipsw.

after i have installed new firmware, synced my iphone(took almost half a day) and now i see that under General --> Phone --> My phone number shows up as 'Unknown', I dont see the facetime on/off option and under General --> Settings --> About --> Carrier - shows up as 'Unknown'

do I have to re-install everything again, this time with no activation option checked ??? i did that for 4.3.1 and i didnt have this problem... pls help.. i dont want to do a re-install/painfull/if i can avoid it, i will...

Hacked Carrier Bundles

Got adventurous and tried this myself. Didn't work out for me, guess my area is too remote or something (typically only have one tower connected at any given time).

Regardless, I screwed up my carrier settings. What finally fixed things for me was utilizing these instructions (http://appadvice.com/appnn/2013/05/...restore-an-ios-device-and-keep-your-jailbreak) and the SSH version of Semi-Restore (http://semi-restore.com/). Ensure you use the SSH version, the standalone's didn't work for me (and it seems the SSH scripts are the most up-to-date).

Ping me with questions if you have them.
