I was at the ATT store today. They had a iPhone 12 Pro that was plugged in but was not on. It was very light weight and felt very cheap.
They told me that they have the wrong cord and that it did not turn on.
Does ATT have dummy phones for the iPhone 12 Pro?

This phone did not feel solid or rugged in any way.

I hope the 12 Pro I have on order does not feel like this.

Is it possible that the phone I handled was a fake display dummy phone?

Do any of YOUR phones feel like cheap Chinese garbage?

I hope the guys at ATT were lying when they said it was a real phone.

If not, I'm glad I will have a good case for my new iPhone 12 Pro!

I mean iPhones are well known for build quality. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Probably a dummy one.

Wife works for AT&T. I have seen and held the 12 Pro. They do not have dummy phones. I have seen the unpacking of the 12 Pro so know what they have are real deal. They do feel different but not enough to make someone think they are dummy phones.

Have you owned/held an iPhone before? It feels like that. Glass, stainless steel. You probably held a dummy phone, why not go to a BestBuy or Apple Store and try out a working model before complaining online?

My dinosaur of a phone - iPhone 6 feels pretty dense and solid in the hand.

I guess the new phones are light weight due to technological advances.

I wonder "if it will bend".

Edit:

Just saw this video.

The will not bend.

As long as it wont bend, it wont matter if it's light weight...

I feel much better now.

The 12 Pro weighs more then the iPhone 6. 129 g iPhone 6- 189 g iPhone 12 Pro

Just my opinion but if you held a real 12 pro there is no way you would think it felt light and cheap coming from an iPhone 6. This is the most solid phone Apple has made.

I just got my 12 Pro.

I have an Otterbox Defender Pro case with an Amplify screen cover also by Otterbox.

It's a TANK!!!

I really got the wrong impression months ago and I'm sorry for speaking ill of the workmanship of the 12.

I didn't mess with it - I just put it in the case right away and before that put on the screen cover.

One edge of the screen cover is not sealed against the glass but that is ok for me.

I love my setup.

The phone is totally protected and feels great.

I also sprung for AppleCare + with theft and loss.

This phone is too expensive to risk breaking.

I guarantee I can get 5 years out of this phone - although I can turn it in 1/2 through my payments for a new phone. 0% interest on the payments from Sprint.
