I have an ATT iPhone 3G and will be heading to Europe next week. Would like to know how well (seamless) it works in Europe (Switzerland, France, Italy). Have already signed up for voice and data roaming with ATT. Just want to know whether ATT users have any problems using their iPhone 3G (or 2G, for that matter) in Europe. Last time I did something like this years ago with a US gsm phone, I remember having to go into settings and change the frequency manually to allow gsm roaming in Europe.

If I can get email with my iPhone, I will not need to filter hotels by broadband capabilities.

TIA,

Charles
