ATT iPhone 4 deliveries to originate from USA?

Instead of the ATT phones being tracked all the way from China, is it not possible that Apple sent pallets directly to ATT/FedEx to originate the deliveries from here?

Just a thought as many tracking numbers from FedEx are still not scanned in.

Last year I got 2 of the 3GS from AT&T and they all came from the AT&T headquarters / fulfillment in Texas
