I dropped my phone into a clean toilet.

It was in an apple leather case which I think may have helped out.

I immediately fished it out, turned it off, took it out of the case, and tried to dry it off as well as I could.

I then did the rice thing (not really sure if this is useful).


Well anyway....i turned it on and all appears well. Home button/touch id, sleep button, vol buttons, mute button, touch screen, all seem to work.

My question is, come time to turn it in to ATT (after 18 months), what do I need to do with it. How do they check for water damage etc?

I briefly looked online but hadn't see anything on what to do with damaged phones.
 
Im pretty certain they wont take it if there is indication on that strip it had any sort of moisture.
I tried selling them a phone that worked %100 and they checked the strip was just ever so slightly turning pink and told me to pound sand.
