So I have an att account that's under my name and I upgraded my dad's line for the iphone

Phone arrived today but he lives about 2 he's away and won't be coming by to pick it up until tomorrow afternoon.

Afraid to turn it on right to charge it for him as it may kills his current SIM card and activate the iphone sim.

Can I just plug this guy in to charge and he keep using his current phone until he gets here tomorrow? Or is it best just to wait until he get here before charging it.

Asking because I'm pretty sure the iphone will power up when plugged in.

Turning it on won't activate it and deactivate his old one.

you should be fine as it needs you to go through the set up and activate process by you interacting with the phone once its turned on.

Asking cuz I don't use att. Just manage his account.
