ATT question apple and UPS Messed up

OK short story I ordered 2 phones from apple on pre order night both were fine and delivered today. I reuested address change on both and I didn't think either went through. Well one came to my work(the address change) and the other was suppose to come to my house cause the address change did not go through. So while on the UPS truck the address change went through and now they are holding till monday to deliver to my work. Any way I go to ATT to pay full price for the phone and they say I can but that I cannot activate it cause my SIM is considered parked. ATT customer service say no problem just get a new SIM and they can activate it. SO does anyone know anything about this I was about to go back to the ATT store. Thanks
