I'm sorry if this answer has been posted, but i haven't found it yet.
does anyone know if ATT refurb'd phones qualify to be returned for the 3G headset? new headsets purchased after the 27th of May can be returned for a new 3G phone if i read the articles correctly.
i'm wondering if refurb's qualify. i can't seem to find any mention of them.

not sure if i'd upgrade from a 16gb to another 16gb or just wait until a 32gb version is released. still thought it would be nice to have an answer to the question.

thanks!
M

Here's the page from AT&T:

http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/legal/return-policy.jsp

It appears new and refurbs (as long as purchased from AT&T) are treated the same - so I would think the upgrade to the 3G will apply to refurbs also.

Apple Branded Equipment

Apple branded equipment is covered by a 14-day return policy and must be returned based on the original point of purchase. AT&T stores will only accept returns of Apple Branded Equipment if the items were purchased at an AT&T store, web site, or kiosk location. AT&T will not accept returns for items purchased at Apple stores or at Apple.com. If the Apple branded equipment is returned unopened and in the original shrink wrapping, it will be refunded back to the original payment method. Opened Apple branded equipment and all refurbished Apple branded equipment that is returned within 14 days will be subject to a 10% restocking fee. All products must be packed in their original, unmarked packaging including any accessories and manuals that shipped with the product.

thank you

well i'm still debating. i'm going to wait until the 3g phone comes out regardless. ideally i plan on holding off until christmas or whenever they release a 32gb model.

Do you want to sell your refurb? I'm looking for a 16 gb so I can give my 8 gb refurb to my sister.
