I have a family plan. One of the lines eligibility is at full non subsidized pricing.

Could I add a line buy new iPhone at 199. The day I get it transfer it and cancel the new line. Which etf would be at 325. 325 plus 199 is still less than 649. Am I missing anything?

Agh. I think I'll just buy it Lol.

I think you may have to give the phone back if you cancel the line that soon.

damn you are right.. or you could even sign up a new line, cancel service and pay etf... interesting theory. then att would have to unlock the phone for free because you paid the etf in full

I have 3 lines mine isn't but my 3rd line with a dummy phone is eligible for a full upgrade. If you have a line ready to upgrade just upgrade that line then switch numbers to you current one youre using. That's what I have done in the past.
