ATT upgrade policy...can I keep my $5 text plan?

Anyone know if AT&T's upgrade policy will allow me to keep my $5 text plan that AT&T recently quit offering? I'm 3GS owner past my the end of my contract, so I'm free to switch carriers, but I'll stay with AT&T if I can upgrade/renew without having to change my plan options.

Yes, you are grandfathered into it, just like unlimited data users.

I'm in the same situation, $5 text plan and unlimited data. AFAIK so long as you don't change any of your plan options, everything stays as it is.
