Att users, what is your speedtest.net results for EDGE only???

Hi guys, I was wondering what are the speedtest.net results you are getting with EDGE on Att?

I have Att currently and like them alot but I know that Verizon has more 3g coverage than Att.

Since I will probably be on Edge more often than if I was with Verizon I was wondering what speeds I could expect across the board in case I travel. If Att Edge speeds are too slow then I might lock in unlimited data with Verizon before it goes away.

Thanks for posting your results. If you can put Ping, Download, & Upload speeds in mbps I would appreciate it

Edit: also for anyone wanting to know you can force Edge by going to settings -> general -> network -> and turn off enable 3g

And as a side note, I always have 3G coverage where I live. So for me, switching to Verizon is never really a thought, but I would if I didn't have 3G coverage after looking at the difference that I got between Edge and 3G.

During off-peak hours I get 30+ with ComCast. However the speed does taper off after a few mins.

Both were in same location, and tests were done at the same time.

and interestingly, i found out today that you can not make an iPad turn off 3G (use only edge). How odd.

It could just be your location, your plan, or a bad router. Actually, all users are throttled technically.
