I currently have a standard internal HDD housed in a basic enclosure and attached to an Apple Time Capsule. It seems the HDD goes to sleep when it hasn't been used for a bit, so it really won't work as an always-available drive for media (music, video, photos) to the two Mac laptops in the house.

If I replaced the enclosed HDD with a Western Digital Red (intended for use in a NAS) should I always see it available via Finder, and therefore possible to wirelessly access photos, etc. across my family's laptops?

Thank you!
