Strange email problem, not quite like those addressed in similar threads:
I can't attach documents in any of my email accounts (two yahoo and two university server accounts), neither with Safari or Firefox. In both accounts, the attachment hangs after clicking "attach files"; it doesn't beachball or freeze, just stays in 'attaching files' mode indefinitely. I have done the following, in this order, to fix or find the problem:
1) logout/restart (no effect)
2) repair permissions (no effect)
3) remove preferences file from library, re-login with preferences folder on desktop (no effect, except to remind me how cool my desktop looks).
4) create second user account (mine is the admin account) to see if it might help. Attachment works in this non-admin account with yahoo, although it still took about 30 seconds to attach a tiny text doc. Thus, the problem must be somewhere in my home folder in the admin account, right??
Any other ideas? It's no real emergency, but I don't like it when things don't work right, and whatever is causing this problem might be able to mess up something more serious...thanks!!!
PS oh yeah: I am running 10.4.10 on a C2D Intel Mini.
