I'm looking for friends to add in this app.
I'm hoping to find friends that have HUGE music libraries.
I have 32.7 gigs in my itunes... so adding me isn't a complete waste of one of your 30 friendships.
my screen name in Simplify is koolkeat.
post your screen name and the size of your itune's MUSIC collection (video's dont work in simplify) so we can all share our music!

Sort of an old post but I was expecting more people to use this app. When it first came out it was a little cpu intensive but they just updated the app and it seems to have a much smaller footprint on my core duo macbook. Also for those looking for another person to add my screename is siphyn87 on simplify media.

Hey, I got like 250 GB of music..
My screen name is thaw04

It will be usable in a day i guess

Looking for friends

Username: apg200055
14K tracks
Mainly rock, alt, pop, country
Very organized playlists
Very organized tags w/album art
Huge Christmas music playlist
Huge solo piano music playlist
Up-to-date playlist with the top songs over the last 6 months
Note: I sync my iTunes rating with Track # in iTunes. So, if you want to see what I rated a song, open up the "Track #" tab in itunes and it will show you.

Ideally I would like to have some friends on here that I can discover music from. So, if you also share a playlist of your favorite songs over the last several months, that would be a huge plus!

Username: cosmo2389
Number of Tracks: Currently around 900, but because I just recently installed the app, I am constantly adding music from my CD collection!!
Size of Collection: Around 8 gigs currently

So there is my info, my collection mainly consists of rock, alt rock, powerpop, progressive rock, JRock, JPop, KPop, etc. Add me if you like!! I will accept any requests!!

Thanks!!

simplify media trouble

can u help?

i've got 60 gig of tunes on an external hdd but i can't get simplify to recognise them. in preference >music>itunes/playlists i only get 18 tracks.

in preferences >music>my music folder>select individual folder i can select the ext hdd but still only get 18 tracks. (the same 18 as before)

if i use itunes obviously i get the full 60gig, also if i use the iphone 'remote' app i can access all 60gig, if i use the ibook>go>connect to server>browse>select mac mini>screen share route i can again access all 60gig.

if i use itunes home sharing again everything is fine.

so tell me what's wrong in simplify, i suspect it's just a setting or at worst a file extension problem?

cheers
steve

Feel free to add me-jfiman14

I have like 69 gigs of music, which is almost 12,000 songs, of every possible genre you can imagine :p

simplify problems

update,
i may have found the problem, in simplify media>preferences>my music folder>add individual folders>ext hdd> if i now select any album and click ok, i get the message 'there are no music files in the folders selected'

to me this points to file ext problem?
steve

simplify file extensions

ok on further investigation the 18 files that are available are all m4a, the 60gig thats not available are all aif. fortunately i have a large library on the ibook that's all lossless (m4a) so i wiped the ext hdd and copied the ibook itunes library onto it. when it's finished copying i should be in business.
cheers
steve

simplify doesn't recognise .aif files

the title says it all, it's now 02:30 and i've finally got it all going. if your planning on using simplify go apple lossless m4a.

good luck
steve
