Is there or will there be a feature where non LTE owners can download music to watch and use a Bluetooth to listen to it without a phone?
I have a Bose soundsport and would like to go out running without carrying my phone.

You can do that right now, syncing music from watch app on iphone, possibly limited to 2gb of music on non lte models.

What you can't do I think is use apple music directly from watch.

Can I download music to my iPhone and send it to my watch?
Or if I transfer music from my Mac to iPhone then to the watch?

Limited to 2 GB? Source?

That’s for the older watches, as Apple announced that in January 2017...

Beware it is a slow transfer process. Extremely slow. Like really slow. I suggest keeping the playlist as small as possible......

It is a slow process but if you don’t wear your watch at night, it will sync while you’re sleeping.

Thanks for your help.
I have the gps-only one but might upgrade to cellular or buy the apple care.
I'm still undecided.
I just want to make sure that I can go out for a run and listen to music without my phone.
Is there an easier method to transfer music from laptop to phone because I don't have daily access to it (using other half's MacBook)?
Or way to download music other than Apple on iPhone?

Wish I could add another way to download music. My iPhone has several playlists and one is very large. That is the one I sync to my Apple Watch. I’m always out and about either winning, walking or mowing or snow blowing with just the watch and Bluetooth headphones. The big Bose or Sony for mowing or snow blowing for noise cancelling or my earbuds Bluetooth for walking and running. Once you pick a large playlist and get in sync’ed, you should be good.

I do have the S3 but not Apple Music and I hear that is great as well.

Awesome! Okay I'll just weather through transferring music via MacBook. Also I put my name on wait list to have my 6 and 6s plus for battery replacement. I think I'll keep my gps-only S3 and add on Apple care; maybe in couple years get the cellular version.
It sucks because I haven't used the Apple/iTunes music app as I strictly used Spotify (jailbroken so Spotify premium for f r e e). Since I have to update my iPhone to new iOS I'll be losing out on this and jailbreak features.
