Its only a 4 gig drive, but now its about the challenge (I've already spent more time on this considering i could just buy a new 60 gig for peanuts). so here is the story..
OK, I tried to reformat my micropolis 4 gig drive that has been working fine on a Atto express pci card in my G4 400 mac running os9.2.2
the computer crashed while using the drive setup app from apple, and now i cant mount or reformat the
drive. Atto pro tools 2.8.1 sees the dive (so does SCSI Probe 5.2) but neither can mount it.
scsi probe says "driver installed but no drive entries"
when i try it with thte pro tools it says "drive not formated, do you want to" i say yes, then it shows the drive as being 'busy' this goes on forever (8hours the 1st time, 6 hours the second time after I zap the pram, remove and reseat the card, re flash the card with ver. 1.6.4)
nothing works .... please help...
