ATV 3 & iMac issues

I have my Apple TV home sharing with my iMac running itunes. All my movies and TV are external HDD and my music is stored on the iMac.

Im having issues with the home sharing as it keeps dropping out. For example, i'll watch a film turn the TV off so ATV goes to sleep, come back an hour later and it wont re connect to my itunes libury. Just says that when home sharing is on my PC content will appear here.

I have my power settings on the iMac set to go to sleep after a certain time but to wake when its accessed over the network.

Any idea on what the issues could be or how to solve it would be great.

So start your sleuthing. Set the MAC to not sleep and the aTV to not sleep and see what happens. Yes I know that may not be the final answer but you first need to better understand where the problem truly is.
