aTV 4 USB power anything?

Is it possible to use a USB C to a female USB adapter for the below on aTV4?

Would it then be possible to use it just to power a digital clock? Was hoping to use my TV USB to power it but when it's in standby the USB power goes off....

Does its USB stay powered when in standby/sleep as well?

The USB port on the AppleTV is strictly for connecting the device to a computer so it can be restored through iTunes in case of a problem. If you’re lucky you’ll never need to use it. It’s certainly not there to power other devices. Ive never tried what you are describing. I would be afraid of damaging the AppleTV.
