ATV 4K crashing

I used my ATV for about 90 minutes to AirPlay a quiz from my iPad. All working ok. (ATV updated to latest OS). I played some music for a few minutes when the lines appeared across the tv screen - those you get when the resolution is wrong. Then blank screen and light flashing on ATV - one short two long flashes.

I unplugged and reconnected the ATV. Just the flashing light.

I read in a thread that unplugging and plugging in 3 to 5 times resets the box and this appeared to work, but after no more than a minute I had the black lines, blank screen and the same flashing light - one short two long.

Any ideas please? TIA

You will need to return the unit to Apple. To my knowledge, Apple is the only one that can reset the device.
