Not sure why you are saying this is false as it is just just my opinion.
But since you brought it up, here are some real world examples of developers dropping support for tvOS version of their apps, while continuing to update iOS versions:

Sounds like I am not the only one with the thinking that developer support for tvOS apps has been dropping.
The recent announcement that some new Apple Arcade games will not have a tvOS version is just more evidence, imo.
