ATV AirPlay Issue

Noticing that when using my iPhone 6S to airplay youtube to ATV3 it stops playing when iphone goes to sleep. I do have a live photo set as the lock-screen. I have heard this may be the issue, however not at home to try. Anyone else having this issue, and have any luck fixing?

Honestly I have this issue a lot with AirPlay. This is one area that Chromecast excels. I hope somebody makes a Chromecast receiver app for tvOS.

Airplay was overhauled in Ios 9, it is up to App developer to fix the issue

I had the same AirPlay problem with my iPhone 6s & Spotify. My iPad Air 2 didn't have this problem. But the problem is solved now by installing iOS 9.2 beta 2!

Just tested with YouTube. Problem is also solved.

Try this. Start playing your video, then double tap the home button to enter multitasking and switch to another app or the home screen. On my iPhone 6 this seems to consistently leave the content playing on the Apple TV while allowing me to continue using my phone or put it to sleep.
