I just submitted this feature request to Apple.
When I'm watching ATV and need to get up to do something for a few minutes, I would like the ability to take an iPad or iPhone with me and AirPlay whatever the ATV is playing to the iPad/iPhone, especially if it's a live game or something that I could be listening to while I'm doing my task before returning to the TV to resume watching. Some apps like Netflix can sync what you're watching so that you can resume on another device, but you still have to exit the ATV app, open the app on the device, navigate to the specific content, hope it has synced correctly, then repeat the steps when you return to the TV. It would be much more convenient if you could just long press on the remote home button and choose a device to AirPlay to, then when you return just tap a "resume on ATV" button. But also not all apps and content sync progress across devices, so this would especially be useful for those situations. (Alternatively, instead of AirPlay, a video Handoff would suffice, but that would require more third party developer participation.)
Anyone think this would be convenient? Would you use this feature?
