I have a pair of wireless Sennheisers that like to use with my ATV at night. Right now it (the base station) is connected to my TV via optical, so I have to use my TV remote to switch audio outputs. But I want to just use my Siri remote for everything so I’m thinking of buying this belkin airplay adapter thingy:
(It will also let me airplay music to the headphones without turning on my TV.)

My question is, would there be a difference in audio quality/experience when
airplaying audio from the ATV to the headphones via the belkin thingy
-vs-
the headphones being plugged into the TV which is plugged into the ATV via hdmi and set as the default audio output? I’m thinking particularly with Dolby atmos content.

Thanks in advance!
