On A Apple
So while looking (yes i looked, even searched, and googled but i wasnt sure what i should google to get something related to the new apple tv)

I wondered, how easy is it to set up an airport express or extreme to make my itunes library wireless...

1. My whole library is on a 2TB Wester Digital HD which is connected to my mac.

2. I have an Apple tv (gen2) in the lounge room.

my question:

is it as easy as:

Plug the HD in the airport.
Find the Airport on my mac.
Get itunes to find the library located on the HD on the airport.
Apple Tv will... what connect to the airport?

Thank you :D

The Mac must be on and sharing the iTunes library in order for the Apple TV to be able to stream from it. It cannot stream from an Airport Extreme or Time Capsule without a computer running iTunes sharing the media.

To add, an AirPort Express cannot share a USB HDD. As Intell implied, only the Extreme and the Time Capsule have this ability.
