ATV and slowing down internet connection

Does anybody having this issue of using the new ATV and it is slowing down internet connection?
For example, I was just using ATV watching a show on Netflix and my whole internet connection for all my other devices (Mac, iPads, etc) went to a crawl.
I have a very fast cable modem connection and once I turned the ATV off, it went back to the normal speeds.
Thanks for any tips fixing this issue.
