ATV with XBMC... how do i share my external hard drive?

so i bought an apple tv did the boxee/xbmc hack to it, and was wondering how i could stream the movies i have on my external hard drive (connected to my mac) to xbmc. i have a lot of xvid and divx movie and hows that i would like to see using xbox media center.

how can i achieve this?
