ATV2 & 3 having home sharing issues

Have one ATV2 and one ATV3. Run my home share off a Windows 8 machine. Within the last few weeks, both ATVs will regularly (every 2-3 days) lose the home share requiring they be unplugged and hard rebooted. They both freeze on "Connecting to Library" (the thing just keeps spinning indefinitely) but can still stream from the cloud. The entire network is static IPs controlled by the router.

Any ideas? Did Apple break iTunes recently or is this an ATV update problem?
