I recently purchased a new macbook pro and a new apple tv2 to add to my current home network of three desktops and two laptops. I am currently streaming videos from my hardwired desktop to my wireless ATV2 and it works beautifully, i have no complains.

The issue is when i try and use airplay from my wireless macbook to the wireless atv2, the music streams well but at random intervals the music will cut out, or start to break up. The issue seems to be resolved when i hardwire the ATV2 to my current router ( a Belkin F5D7234-4 v5 (01)). I was wondering if anyone could help, seeing as i dont want to run a 100 ft cable across the house! much appreciated if you could help

Try changing the streaming buffer size in tunes advanced preferences, or the multicast rate on your router
