Unless I'm doing something wrong there are just a couple of things that I don''t like about the ATV4.

I switch it on and, if I left it on the 'computers' app, that's where I come back, but always at the first page with 'Films' highlighted. To get to my 'TV Shows' I have to button right/down/left/down/right. I wish I could just go back to the 'TV Shows' library.

The other thing could be easily fixed. When I put the ATV4 to sleep it then puts the TV back to the TV HDMI input and then turns the TV off. I then have to wait for the TV to shut down then switch it on again. A bit of a pain.

Most of the time I don't want it to turn the TV off, I want to watch the news or whatever. Does anyone know a way round these two items, please?

Don't put the ATV to sleep. Just switch your input. Problem solved. Or turn CEC off.

For news check out the haystack app. I love it. I also use a tablo which uses an antenna and I can watch locals on the ATV(or other streaming devices) and it DVR's.

...that’s what it is supposed to do. By using HDMI-CEC and putting the Apple TV to asleep, you are also sending a command to turn the TV off. Otherwise there is no reason to put the Apple TV to sleep. Just change the input and watch something else. You don’t really need to turn the Apple TV off when not using it.

In the remote settings, you can either assign the Home button to go to the Home Screen, or to the TV app.

When the TV app first arrived with limited function, many users complained that they wanted to be able to return to the home screen instead of TV app, so Apple updated the OS to support a setting to toggle the behavior.
[doublepost=1513371800][/doublepost]oh, sorry... you are referring to within the Home Sharing "Computers" interface.

Yup, agree it would be nice to return to where you left off. You might be able to do so by double clicking the home button to bring up the app switcher, and returning to the Home Sharing Computers app where you left off. I suspect when you relaunch from the home screen, it goes to the default starting location.
