ATV4 and how it handles audio

So I'm curious to know what exactly what the ATV is spitting out when it plays my 24/192 ALAC files from itunes.

I know its 48KHz and PCM. Sadly my AVR doesn't tell me anything more than that. Is it likely to be 16/48? or 24/48?
