This is suddenly happening with my Apple TV that is not 4k. I am updated to the new TV OS, but I kind of think this was starting the day before I updated.
The Apple TV says its wifi signal is at 4 out of 5 bars. Netflix is shrinking down to pure fuzz way too often though, and loading a video from my home iTunes library (from MacBook to ATV) over home network is maybe four times slower than it usually is. So here I am now, watching Miami Connection off a USB stick in my PS4 like a crazy person instead of streaming it conveniently to my Apple TV like a civilized normal human.
So I've restarted my Apple TV, restarted my router, and updated to the newest TV OS. I'm not sure what else I can try to do. Messing with and troubleshooting network settings is maybe my least-favorite computer-tinkering thing. If anyone can give any helpful suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.
