(Central) NY State of mind
I bought an ATV4 from the Marketplace here. It arrived a couple months back and looked to be in perfect shape - visually. For a myriad of reasons I was not able to start setting up the ATV4 until today (it's for a secondary TV, not my primary source of watching video content).

Anyway, I should have known something was wrong when I got it hooked up and tried to update to tvOS 11 (it had 10.x on it) and it bombed halfway through (rapid flashing LED and URL for Apple Support on the screen). I ended up having to recover and update it via the USB-C port through iTunes....and that took two tries before being successful.

Once I got the tvOS update installed - I installed a couple apps that I use all the time (InFuse and MrMC) and began to configure them. Suddenly the ATV restarted itself. Then it came back and I got the apps configured. However, when watching a video using either app, or even something like the HGTV app, it'll be fine for a minute or two (maybe 5), then restart to the black screen for about 30 seconds before it comes back to the home screen. A couple times it came up to the "you've got a problem - would you like to restart or reset the device?" screen.

I also tried different HDMI cables and two different TV sets and wired vs. wireless network - same issue.

My primary ATV4 has been running like a champ for a couple years now - so I can't blame anything but this ATV4 unit.

Any ideas before I throw myself at Apple's mercy and see if they'll do anything for me?
