Just unpacked a brand new ATV4. Had a jailbroken ATV2 before, for streaming from the NAS - was very happy to finally rid myself of jailbreaking etc since there are tons (well, I thought there would be) of players, and I just love using Siri on my iPhone.
However, on the ATV Siri was disabled as an option. After some digging about on the internet, I just found that for some reason that I simply cannot comprehend, you need to have both Regional settings, location, and language set to a supported combination in order to get it to work.
Let me rephrase that - I live in Greece ( yeah I know, pay debt and all ). I just hate using Greek for anything tech related, since I have been using English ever since I started with computers over 20 years ago. My iPhone is set to English, my PC/laptop/etc is in English, and I obviously use Siri in English.
But the ATV won't allow Siri (in English) to work in Greece. And, if I change my locale to US/UK, which is a supported combination, Siri will work... until I try to do anything related to Apple Music (which I am subscribed to), or the AppStore (both from the Greek region), where my region is changed and Siri breaks again.
Ranting aside, does anyone know of a way to actually make the above setup work? Thanks in advance!
