Audio alerts with Apple Music playing not loud enough

Is there a way to adjust the volume for audio alerts while Apple Music is playing? I have two situations when playing Apple Music that the music volume is lowered but the audio alert isn't loud enough and difficult to hear.

1. In my truck when playing Apple Music using Bluetooth to my radio my Apple Maps alerts aren't very loud (evening changing to Loud Volume in Maps)
2. When cycling using my Trekz open-ear Bluetooth headphones, my routing app audio alerts is very hard to hear when playing Apple Music.

I haven't had any luck to find settings to change this. I would be OK if it would pause Apple Music when the audio alerts are playing.

Any ideas?

Have you tried settings -> map -> navigation & guidance -> navigation voice volume
