My first venture into the Forum, so please bear with me.

I recently started using a MacBook for the first time and am putting together a Movie in iMoves 11 Version 9.0

Having created a four minute clip from a set of still images, I then added an appropriate mp3 file for background music, but it simply won't play. I suspect that it is muted somewhere, somehow, but can't figure it out,

Under the Preview box, the volume bar is completely black, but I just can;t figure out how to make it play.

Grateful for any hints/tips/advice.

Cheers

It sounds like your QT currently doesn't support the format in the video. Try playing in VLC. If it works, download and install Perian and then try to watch your video in QT.

OK, so I've downloaded VLC and v10 of QT.

Played the video with both but no soundtrack is playing. I assume, therefore, that despite what it looks like in iMovie, the audio file hasn't become part of the movie.

Back to the drawing board :)
