I no longer have my Mac Pro connected up to check what kind of audio card it has. the early 2008 edition. Does the new iMac and the Mac Pro both utilize the same Intel Integrated HD audio card?

I notice that the sound on my new iMac is not as robust as it was on my Mac Pro. I am finding myself having to really crank the volume and bass on my Klipsch 2.1 system to get near the same results I had on my Pro at very lower settings.

Anyone notice the same?

Bear in mind that the iMac is a consumer level machine, while the Mac Pro is a professional level machine. I wouldn't be surprised if the built in audio is not as robust. I would look into Firewire or USB based sound cards.
