I really love my Mac Studio M4, best mac I have ever had, no issue so far but I recently noticed that when listening to music/videos over bluetooth whether with my AirPods Pro or my Beats, the audio drops intermittently. Its so annoying that I dont use my airpods or beats anymore with my mac, I just use wired earbuds.

Whats strange is that bluetooth on the MAc Studio works flawlessly with my keyboard, trackpad and MX mouse. Only happens with the Airpods and beats.

And I know its not the airpods or beats that are the issue because they work just fine with my iphone and ipad.

Has this happened to anyone else here? Is there anything that could be causing this? Anything I could try before bringing it in to the genius bar?

Thanks in advance!

Audio uses far more bandwidth than the other peripherals.

There were reports about audio issues on the M1 mini. I don't recall if there were many on the M1 Studio but it seems to me that most people with the Mac Studio use external speakers from the setup pictures that I've seen on this forum. It is possible that the antenna isn't as effective with the aluminum block.

Thanks for the reply, I do use External speakers most of the time but other times I like using headphones. And yea the aluminum body might be the cause. Kind of sucks
