I need a program to convert audio files. I have 4 of them and a trial that would let me do this many would be fine or a free program. They are .aif files and i NEED mp3's. I searched google and download.com and didn't find much

how in itunes?

In iTunes you can go into Preferences: Advanced and select what your import encoding method is going to be - like MP3 192 kbps - and then you File: Import the source material (and I'm pretty sure AIFF is supported for import - it's supported for export - but I don't have any material here to try), and voila, in the iTunes music folder will be all the MP3s that you converted.

I did a whole bunch audio conversion of WAV speech files this way to mono MP3 64 kbps for web sites.
