I was wondering what I need to do so that I can see the audio levels in the timeline and so that I can adjust them where ever I want?
Thanks!

Be warned, having the wave forms showing can be a major resource hog and can slow your shuttling thru the timeline to a crawl depending on how long your time line is.

Lethal

a better option than working with the waveforms perpetually on in the timeline would be to scrub through your footage to where you want to make changes, then double click the audio track(s) to have them show up in the Viewer where you get not only a better view of them, but also forego the painful perfomance displaying them in the timeline has.
