Hello.
For some time ago i discovered that if i plug some external speakers into the Macbook Pro's audio output there is no sound coming out. The internal speakers is working perfectly. I have tried with 10 different headsets and speakers to check if the problem is the external device, but it ain't.
1 week ago(after the sound issue occurred) my mac burned it's logicboard because it startet up by itself in my back (from standby mode). Then I got a brand new logicboard (apple was kind to replace it for me with no extra costs), but then i discovered after the logicboard replacement that the sound still does not work.
So i'm guessing that it might be a software failue? If it's a hardware fail the sound should properly work after apple inserted a brand new logic board, right?
Any thoughts or ideas?
Oh year, almost forgot, It's a Macbook Pro 15" from 2008 with Snow Leopard.
Regards, Simon.
