I have a set of the MA850GA Apple earbuds. They're great at reducing noise, but I'd like to hear some audio feedback during a phone call...I'd like to hear my own voice at a low level. Is it possible? I spent some time Googling around and searching the forums with no luck...can't believe I'm the only one who wants this.

We used to call it 'side tone' in the telephone business. The speaker's own voice was fed back to him/her at low levels, this had the effect of moderating the volume at which the speaker er.. spoke.

Normally in life we hear our own speech anyway, but I guess your earbuds are quite efficient at blocking ALL external sounds, including natural aural feedback.

Yup, that's what I'm looking for. I'm guessing it's a hardware limitation, but it would be a nice feature to have. You can get an idea of the problem by sticking your fingers in your ears and trying to speak in a normal voice...might not want to do that in public...
