I basically tore the Audio Flex Ribbon Cable of my iphone 4 right through the middle,

My phone is not turning on right now. Would this be the cause? Any time I try to turn my phone on, I see the apple logo for a few seconds and it turns off.

Im considering buying a replacement but I want to make sure this is the cause.

Thanks for the help.

Its difficult for anyone to say if this is the cause or if you have disturbed anything else within the unit.

Your choices are clear to me.

Buy the part and see or perhaps seek assistance from a stand alone cellphone repair shop.
