OK, so I have 2 computers connected to a TV monitor, both connected with HDMI, one Windows 10 one 2012 mac mini. I want to connect headphones with a mic to the monitor, the windows has a built-in mic and the sound is carried through HDMI so that works fine, The sound on the mac also goes through HDMI. but the mac has no mic so I thought, Simple and bought a splitter, plugged the speaker side into the monitor and the mic side into the mac.. NOPE. not only didn't the mic work the sound didn't either, So does anyone know how I can split a 4 pole headphone into a mac mini and a Monitor?
