I'm getting desperate now, any help would be much appreciated. Also, i'm a total fail at any sort of tech talk, so try and make it understandable if you start to get complicated on me.

i think those other people were correct when they say sounds like a hardware issue

Bring it into Apple, they won't charge you for a diagnosis, so at least you'll know what's wrong.

If you're still under the 1yr manufacturer's warranty, just make a time machine backup of your stuff, drop it off, have it fixed for free and restore it from the backup(if need be).
