I am beyond frustrated. I can't get the mic to work.

Can anyone please help? Connected Mini USB to USB-C.

I have checked in settings/Sound and stream yard and nothing.

I have no clue what to do.

There is an audio sub-forum here at macrumors. You might ask the moderators to move your thread into there.

It would help if you told us
WHICH MacBook Pro you have
WHAT YEAR it was made
WHAT VERSION of the OS is running.

Have you run Audio/MIDI Setup, to see if the Mac "recognizes" the connection of the mic? Try it NOW.

Do you have a different cable that can be tried?
(one never knows about the cable).

If that doesn't work, and you find that a direct USB connection (mic to Mac) just won't work for you...
You might consider buying a basic "audio interface" with an XLR input, and connect the mic to the interface.

Just a couple (there are MANY available at all price points):

(my apologies for the long URLs)

Is that a plain "MV7", an "MV7i" or an "MV7+"?

I see mixed reviews out there as to the regular MV7 working well with a Mac.

Is the firmware up to date? I guess you have to download and run their MOTIV Mix software to check and update it.

Have you made sure the microphone is selected as an input source in the Audio/MIDI setup program? You can find this program in /Applications/Utilities .
