When I play, say, an audio demo via Safari, it's distorting terribly.

I've found that I have two versions of Quicktime in my Applications folder; Quicktime 7, and Quicktime (info shows v.10.3).

Safari uses Quicktime, and any audio I'm streaming sounds unbearable. BUT, when I run Quicktime 7, it clears up instantly.

So, I thought I'd delete Quicktime, and let the version 7 one do it's job but it can't be deleted. I get a 'being used by OSX' message.

Then tried deleting Quicktime 7 also to see if it resolves, but it then leaves me with the messed up audio, and no fix.

I'm no expert, but I think the two versions are creating some kind of conflict and I'd really appreciate a fix if you have one.

Thanks!
