Hi, when I connect Silicon Macs (M2 Mini, M2 MacBook Air 15") to an external TV and set the sound output to the speaker of the TV, there is no audio for a second every other few seconds of normal YouTube video playback. Is this a common Silicon Macs issue?

Is it just YouTube or any audio or any web audio?

I haven't had trouble with monitor audio. Seems like something to do with the connection to that monitor. how are you connecting? HDMI direct? HDMI adaptor? Another cable? AirPlay?

Thanks for pointing out possible cause due to connection. I only have a M2 MacBook Air 15" to test right now.
There is something strange (Case 2 and Case 4). Here are four cases:

1. Mac -----> Caldigit USB-C to HDMI 2.0b adapter -----> TV
Mac OS recognized the connection type as HDMI. Audio problem.

2. Mac -----> Caldigit Element TB 4 Hub -----> Caldigit USB-C to HDMI 2.0b adapter -----> TV
Mac OS recognized the connection type as HDMI. Audio problem

3. Mac -----> Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter -----> TV
Mac OS recognized the connection type as HDMI. No audio problem

4. After Case 3, I repeated the same set up as Case 2 but for strange reason,
this time MacOS recognized the connection as DisplayPort under the name DP Audio. No audio problem.

Connection was treated as HDMI in Cases 1, 2 and 3. Why only Case 3 has no issue?

How come after Case 3, repeating the same hardware setup as Case 2, MacOS recognized the connection
as DisplayPort rather than HDMI?

I only tried YouTube videos.
