ok, so i use my iMac for editing audio a lot and ive never had an issue with it ever, until now.
(im running Snow still)

the other day, i went about doing what i normally do on my Mac but this time i noticed that the low-end frequencies seem to be very high, high enough to distort and drown out everything else. it sounds horrible and with this being said, its impossible to work this way.
i have plugged in my headphones to see if this is still the same issue and it is.
i have messed with the EQ in iTunes and the MIDI in utilities.
i have rebooted and done the P + R+ CMD + OPTION thing, still no good.

this however, only seems to be effecting iTunes and Garageband and not something like say Youtube etc.

please, and anyone help me with this? :( :(
