OK the only problem I have ever had with an apple product is with my older macbook pro. The redlight coming out of the earphone jack issue...it wouldnt go away even with the toothpick fix...the other is today I go to plug a pair of apple heaphones into my new macbook 13.3" unibody...2 days old and guess what? the audio doesnt come out of the headphones. I spin the jack it cuts in and out....IS any one else feeling a bit ripped off here?

Unreal. My wifes ancient DELL computer has been dropped, sat on, spills, everything and it is like a timex watch..takes a licking and keeps on ticking. What is going on with the headphone jacks and the macbook computers? A simple google search is turing up many hits regarding this issue and youtube videos showing how multiple headphones still dont work!

In my opinion this is totally unacceptable for a higher priced machine.

As a shareholder and a consumer i do feel burned!

have you tried another pair of headphones?

this happens with my el cheapo pair i found around the house, but works fine with anything else i plug in.
